Appearance:
Mabel is five foot seven inches, or 1.7 meters; she weighs 128 pounds, or 9.14 stones. This makes her about average height for a girl her age, and relatively slim. She generally wears dark blue jeans and a black tank with a dark hoodie over it-- this has nothing to do with wanting to be goth, it's purely functional. She's had the hoodie for a while and tried to water proof it semi-successfully. Her hair is dark, a little longer than shoulder length, kept in a braid. Typically, she wears glasses, probably her greatest weakness aside from being mortal. Mabel's eyes are hazel. Her only jewelry is a plain silver band on her left ring finger, and a belt with a somewhat ornate, tarnished silver buckle. Left to herself, she doesn't smile much, but when she does it's like the sun came out.
Abilities/Skills:
Mabel's greatest assets are her strength of will, strength of mind, and her nimble body. She isn't always graceful in the way she saves herself, but without fail she gets the job done. She's intelligent, a quick thinker and good problem solver. She needs to be this way, as she's been on her own for about a year and a half. She also has a knack for accuracy with firearms.
Personality:
Mabel is a practical soul, down to earth and fairly quiet. She'll take risks, but only for herself and those she loves, never for a stranger. She operates by a series of mental rules she's created for herself by experience, but has learned to think outside the box in order to prolong her life. To strangers she is nothing, an average human girl with no apparent gifts. To those she is comfortable around, she is smart, serious yet reasonably cheerful. To those she loves, she's extremely open about her opinions and passionate to boot. When in a group setting she will not present herself as leader, but if she thinks the current leader is doing a lousy job, she has no problem doing some butt kicking to ensure the survival of the team.
As far as vamps/werewovles/whathaveyou go, Mabel knows how to stay out of their way for the most part. Though not exactly fearful of said humanoids, she has a healthy apprehension of their strength and evil potential. This stated, she also recalls Keenan (see below) and has compassion for them, especially since learning how to coexist safely and comfortably with her brother.
Weapons:
Mabel is comfortable with a wide variety of armaments. When she is settled in one place long enough to store her personal belongings, she keeps whatever she can find. She is most comfortable with a handgun or rifle, as anything bladed leaves her too close to the enemy for comfort. Generally, she keeps a pocket knife on her at all times, as well as "brass" knuckles plated in silver. Also, the weight of a shotgun strapped across her back gives her a great sense of confidence despite the fact it almost knocks her over when fired. Because of this last fact, she tries not to use it-- being down in the middle of a fight is a bad idea.
History:
Mabel lived with her parents, older sister and brother, until she was fifteen when her brother was turned vamp. Up until that time she had believed there was no such thing, but was soon convinced otherwise. Fearful of his new condition, seventeen year old Keenan fled his home. Mabel quickly pursued him, resolving that he needed her more than the rest of her family did. She lived with him for about eight months in a post-apocolypse city until he disappeared. Since then she has been on the move trying to stay alive and keeping an ear open for news of him.
I, "Mabel Sutton," have read the rules and agreed to obey them. I will not post in anywhere that is Out of Character Base until my character has been disappeared into the "Accepted Characters" board. I will also respect my fellow board members and be as active as I can. I will also not carry off into an argument when my character is killed.
