Even before her 45,000 years of imprisonment it had been a long time since she was last in Taiwan. It had never been her favorite place t be but she was determined to make sure that she visited every country. Sayuri however had found several places that no longer were above the surface of this world. She had already been gone for several months though as she had been staying in the runis of Atlantis that was now lying deep under the surface of the antartic ocean. She had also made sure that the mortal scientists would never find it, even if they searched for the entire life of the earth. It was still a place of power and she could still tap into that to hide it from the eyes of mortals or others that would wish it harm. Anyways, only an extremely powerful water dragon would be able to swim down there anwyays.
Sayuri had been helped by the water that had told her what to expect. Sayuri's power to listen to the elements certainly came in handy when needed. But now she stood silently on top of a tall building, looking down at the world of the night with many Lycans and Vampires walking aroudn and very few battles. but still. It was a developed town atht many people occupied. ANd also with the newest technology avalible here it was a prime place for vistors. Sayuri, in her black dress that was like a kimono but smaller, simpler with less layers, and without the obi. She was almostg imvisable on top of teh building in the darkness of the night.
So she watched, listened to teh pain fo the earth and listened to the calmness of the air that told her about what was happening. SHe listened to the fire in teh distance and the water in the drains below the ground. Everything seemed to be so painful. Why?

]Elwood walked along the roof, trying to get away from the lights, and people, and the anger. He had a very large bottle of some Asian alchohal in his hand, and it was over half empty and his usually immaculate 50's hair was messy and hanging in his face. He came apon a native and sighed, looking for Harvey to tell him what to do, but not finding his 6ft rabit friend. He rolled his bloodshot eyes to the heavens wondering what to do with obviosly depressed figure. What the Hell, Elwood. Go and comfort the damn girl. What kind of man are you? Elwood's head bobbed as his thoughts chastised him. "Yeah, whatever." He thought he was whispering, but it was really quite loud as he decided to go and "comfort" her. Elwood staggered over to the woman and cam up right next to her. "Can I sit next to you?" And without waiting for an answer, plopped right down next to her. "So, what's on your mind?"

Sayuri watched. She could smell a hybrid coming closer towards her but even what was ment to be one of the strongest of the immortal breeds was no threat to her. Threats? Why now did she always measure everything in threats? Was it because of all the danger and hatred that she had lived through? Because she was what a war and hate filled world this was and knew that even a pityful mortal could take it upon himself to attack her? That was not right. It was not who she was, how she was ment to be. Sayuri was what the modern day people would call Chinese or Japanese but she was really one of the first of both cultures, the beginning of the draconlur race. One of the last of the ancients.
She pushed the thoughts from her mind and found that she was being told by both her midn sense and the wind and the earth that the hybrid was approching, then suddenly he was standing beside her. Sayuri had no sense of smell, taste or touch so she could not rely on these but her sharp eyes coudl see for miles and miles and her ears could hear things from even further away so his loud voice was like a bomb to her ears. But she did not care. She had heard louder noises, nothing compared to the sound of a dragon roaring about a meter behind you. She did not make a noise or movement as he sat beside her. As he spoke she turned to look at him with he clear, glittering black eyes. "May I ask, young hybrid, what makes you think that I am troubled?" She said to him in her firm voice, her chinese/japanese accent showing clearly in her defined english.
Her golden skin was framed by stands that were down aroudn her face, the rest of her hair tied in a tight ponytail at the back of her head. Usually her eyes woudl be glinting golden but tonight they were not, just deep well sof black which showed not even the barest scrap of the intelligence and wisdom held under them. Even though it was quitecold out tonight, Sayuri was kept warm by the natural eternal fire inside of her; the spirit fir3e which the dragons gave to the first draconlurs as they passed from the earth. Sayuri had a lot more then any of the other ancients though for she had been blessed by the last dragon, and had a great deal more power that was yet to reveal itself. But even so, her skin was quite warm to the touch, all draconlurs should be though they were not. The weaker the draconlur the less eternal fire they had within them.
But even though Sayuri's skin was always very warm, not many would know. Sayuri had always been distant from others, even her fellow ancients when they had been at peasce with the humans, and rarely had a person been able to gain her trust. And only one person had ever become here friend. And he was the only man that had ever touched her, and his bones were now apart of the earth. Sayuri looked back out to teh sky and thought again about going and flying for a while, somehow, the movement of her wings always seemed to free her mind.

Elwood was startled by her words, and her eyes, but he kept his drunken suavness and smiled at her. "Well, ma'am, you just look like the troubled type. Like you've seen too much stuff. Stuff that nobody should have to see," as clearly as her Chinese influenced her voice, New York took its toll on his. Elwood held out his hand to shake, or to kiss her hand if she was one of them fancy princess types. "The name's Dowd, Elwood Dowd. I'd introduce to to Harvey, if he was here, but he seems to have wandered off for the moment. He does that don't you know? Well, I'm sure you don't but, well, now you do." He continued his drunken ramble before his throat got imminently dry and he took a long drink of the bottle in his hands, leaning backwards with his feet sticking out before coming back.

It was true. Sayuri knew it. She had seen to many things in her life. To many things that were to horrible or harsh to remember and to many acts of war. But there was peace as well. A time when she could fly freely over the largest mortal city in the world and all she would get was a quick glance at her amazing scales, black, but patterend with golden ancient markings that no one but her understood. That was what it use to be like. Not this twisted world of fear where even teh proudest and most pacifist creatures must hide their true natures. That was not right. Not natural. Not that she could do anything about it at the moment. It was clear anyway to her that her voice and eyes had startled him, or confused him. Either way, it was the reaction that she usually got. And she was use to it by now.
"You are right. I have seen things that I would not wish on my worst enemy," She said. The last little bit was almost to herself though as she caught the sense of Hatsumomo once again. her greatest enemy. A fellow ancient who she had imprisoned long before her own imprisonment. Not that it mattered. She was somewhere in the same land as Sayuri. But not to close. She turned to Elwood, as his name was, and nodded a polite greeting to him, but she did not shake his name. "My name is Sayuri." Sayuri ignored his offered hand. It was simpler that way then having to explain that she was never touched by men. She noticed the bottle for the first time and her eyes picked up that it was alchol.
"I do not mean to be rude, but you should not drink that stuff so. It is not good even for a hybrid such as yourself to have so much," she said. Calmly, as she spoke, two large folded wings grew from her back. They were black, deep black, and had bright, glittering golden markings on the top of them. Curved symbols with points at the ends, like an ancient symbol or something. Her scales were barely visable on her wings and only the gold markings showed against her black kimono. Even with this small transformation her eyes also turned a rich golden color with a black pupil in the middle and the whites around the edge. Any morphing into even apart of her draconlur form brough her true eye color out if it was not already revealed. They glittered like anything and seemed to reflect light even though there was barely any light around.
She made no move to acknoledge her small transformation of her wings. Unlike most draconlurs, her wings had several spines in them and folded into themselves twice before they folded like a normal draconlurs wings. If she were to extend her wings now they would easily be six feet long each, although folded up they looked like they might only be two foot long each. She had no control over the size of them when she was in human form, she just brought them out at their natural proportion size. Sayuri's wings were naturally about three times bigger in length then the length of her snout to the base of her tail in dragon form. She could take any size from about three foot long to her biggest size as well. NOt that she knew what that was. She was sure to of grown again in dragon form since her imprisonment and was not chance enough to risk it with the danger. She was sure to be noticed if she took true form. She had always been massive. [/size]
