Hannibal looked at Calwyn incredulously, and then broke into a smile. "Really? You have a son, and maybe a daughter? Well, this is probobly the best news I've heard all year!" He wanted to hug her again, but was stopped when he remembered the noise, and he didn't like the way that Calwyn looked at it. She probobly knows what it is, and just doesn't want to tell me. When will people stop trying to protect me? First Kahen and now Calwyn?! He shook his head. No, I love both of them. I know they're just trying to protect me.
Hannibal leaned forward when Calwyn reached for his lips, but was disappointed when she pulled away again. Damn, stupid world, can't give us a break can you? He nodded reasuringly, also in response to her wanting to get the eff out of there. "When is the sounds of bombs good? Man, this is a nutty world. And we've both been on it way too long." His eyes got kind of distant as he thought about the sweet release of death and how many times he'd thought about it over the last few months.

Calwyn was amazingly glad that he had a possitive reaction about her two children. She smiled when he gave her reaction and saw how he reached for her when she moved to kiss him. Her eyes lit up when he mentioned that they had been in the world of war and death for too long. Didn't she know it. Living a hundred years was bad enough, let alone six hundred. PLus when you add in the weapons, the danger, the death and everyday battles i made for a hell of a life. "I've been in it longer then you," She said in a very calm, teasing sort of way. She flashed him a teasing grin and moved over to the edge of the building where the ladder was. There was no way that she was going to climb down.
Calwyn, being a draconlur, hated going slow. She hated being underground and in places where you couldn't see the sky. It wans't natural. She was a creature of the air and of fire. Not of the earth. Her nature was water but fire and air had a big part to play but earth was only nessassary because she could not fly all the time. She caught Hannibals thought of death and frowned, but didn't let him see her frowning. She looked down to the ground. Judging how much strength she would need to land properly. A gust of wind came and Calwyn looked up. She could of sworn that she had jsut heard a voice, but the second she hqad concintrated on it it had gone. Impossible. OH well.
(DOnt worry, this is just a devlopment of Calwyns powers so Hannibal didn't hear the voice)

[ok, good. Sorry it took me so long to post, I was thinking. ]] Hannibal laughed hollowly when she teased him about her being older. It wasn't her, just all his laughs were hollow no-adays and he also wasn't used to the exersize. Hannibal went to the edge of the roof with Calwyn and looked down with her, following her gaze to the ground. He knew his legs couldn't withstand a fall like this, but he kept his words to himself, not even thinking it because he knew what his love could do with minds. Hannibal put his arm around Calwyn's waist, trying to signal that he wasn't ready to go down just yet, that he needed a minute to prepare. Ok, I'm going to do this. She will take care of- his thought cut out there. Why did he need people to take care of him all the time? Why couldn't he do that himself. He was five centuries old God dammit, he should be able to be a big boy and take care of himself! Hannibal's vision blurred and filtered red at his anger at himself. Why can't I just take responsability?! [/blockquote]

Calwyn hadn't been listening to his thoughts or anything of the sort. She knew that it was rude and did not usually do it unless nessassary. When Hannibal wrapped his arm around her it was clear that he was uncomfertable. She could feel it. She could tell. Just though what she naturally could sense though, not through her powers. She looked at him and gave a small chuckle. "Just climb down, Hannibal. I know that most people don't like to just drop." She said to him softly. SHe was use to this reaction now. So use to it in fact that she had given up on being annoyed at peoples fear of heights or uncomfertable feelsing about dropping. She just accepted. She unhooked heself from him and dropped quickly to the ground.
Unfortunetly she was so distracked with what she thought she had heard, when a wind blew a piece of cardboard against her, she lost her balence and landed heavily on her side. She wasn't knocked unconsious but laughed as the pain started to go after a few seconds. she sat up, feeling very sore where she had landed, still laughing, and looked up to Hannibal. "As you can tell though, my new skills and memories have not affected my amazing lack of co-ordination!" Calwyn tried to make light of the situation. Her body was still in shock so she couldn't feel most of the pain coming from her brusied damaged side or the grazes up her arm and on her face. Not that it mattered. She had had far worse before and still been able to laugh. Hannibal had seen her far worse before. (I know. You always take FOREVER to think though)

[[I'm sorry *hugs*]] Hannibal smiled genuinly this time, the anger already ebbing away. God, she's great. He started his slow decline down the steps of the building and made it down in far less time, but in far better shape than Calwyn. "Are you okay? I don't want you to strain yourself with your injuries and all." He knew that he couldn't convince her to be careful, and he cwouldn't want it any other way, but he wasn't ready to loose his love just yet, to nature or anything else. Hannibal held out a hand to the blonde angel on the ground, knowing that she was more than he could ever hope to deserve. What would I look like, splattered on the ground? He could feel the impact of the ground as he hit it, as if he had actually fallen. During his imprisonment, Hannibal had spent time experiencing things through his mind. He went to fine resturaunts, and tasted the food without actually eating anything, this was what was happening to him now, and he winced.

Calwyn took Hannibal's offered hand and pulled herself up. Carefully she dusted herself off, already feeling the wounds starting to heal over. Once the dirt was all gone she looked at Hannibal, glad that he wasn't doing what so many others did and freaking out simply because she had a couple of little grazes. "I'm fine." He voice was strong but she watched as he winced slightly from something he had been thinking. He has changed, she thought. He looks like he has been cut in half mentally. It hurts me to know that I can't help him. But I wish I could. Calwyns thoughts were carefully guarded and hidden under her smile. The pain slowly faded as she walked out onto the almost empty street.
Quickly she did a quick search with her mind. Nothing dangerous at the moment. Just a group of mortal boys hanging around just up the street and around the corner and a Lycan feeding on a dead dhampir a bit behind them. They were the two closest things that she could sense and neither posed a massive threat to her or Hannibal. At least she knew that she oculd not sense her surroundings and guard her mind at the same time. She had always had trouble doing that but not any more. As they walked she was sub-conciously aware of the pull that the scar on her back put on her muscles, it was apart of her now but she hated it, she hated the mark it left on her body and her mind. "What are you doing here anyways? In Frnace I mean," she asked.

Hannibal didn't like the look on Calwyn's face when she got up. She must be hurting from that fight with what's-his-face. He hooked arms with his love, smiling at his good fortune. Less than a week ago, he had been trapped on some island with nothing to drink, now he was walking hand in hand with a beautiful girl in the City of Lights. Man, this place is awsome. Why can't some deserted island be like this? He chuckled a little at the words, of course no prison could be like this, it woulkd be way too fun and then everybody would want to be in prison.
Where had all Hannibal's reasoning gone? His thoughts were child-like now and he was also very confused. Hannibal shook his head, No, why can't you stop thinking about yourself?! What about the angelic being beside you now? She was in a major battle and all you can think about is how you're social wit is gone?! What the hell is wrong with you? Hannibal chastised himself as they walked. "Well, this was the farthest I could swim. I mean, yeah. I would have gone halfway around the world to get away from that place." He shuddered and closed his eyes for a moment, then looked down at Calwyn's cool blue eyes and smiled again. "Enough about me, what are you doing in France?"

Calwyn smiled when he twisted his arm into hers. She was glad to have him close again. It had been scary when he had been gone, not being able to sense him at all, even when she had focused all her thoughts on him. She had been worried. So worried that he had been killed that she had almost abandoned her family just to go looking for him. She didn't think that she could stand any more loss. But that was all in the past now. They soon past the group of boys that she had sensed ealier, and she sensed more then one eye follow her up the street but she ignored it. Then she heard Hannibal question. What had she been doing here? Calwyn didn't even really know. She had just come here for no particular reason, but she had felt like she had to come.
"I don't really know. I just came here. It has always been somewhere where I just came to get away from things, but maybe I knew that you were here?" She said softly. How different her life was. Not that it mattered much. She didn't really care. It was slowly getting better and slowly becoming more like what she had wished it would be. If only the memories of all the aweful things she had done would stop haunting her, stop teasing her with pain. She regreted wishing before that she had her memories back. For now she wished that she didn't have some of them at all. Ignoring all that she quickly sent Hannibal a quick message through telepathy.
I love you.
